Refund & Payment Policy

1. Payment Processing

All payments processed through SportFishTrader are handled securely by Stripe, Inc., a certified PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. Your payment information is encrypted using 256-bit SSL encryption and is never stored on our servers.

By completing a purchase, you authorize SportFishTrader to charge your payment method for the total amount displayed at checkout, including any applicable taxes and fees.

2. Subscription Billing

Subscription services are billed on a recurring basis according to the billing cycle you selected at purchase:

  • Monthly: Charged on the same day each month
  • Quarterly: Charged every 3 months from your start date
  • Semi-Annual: Charged every 6 months from your start date
  • Annual: Charged once per year from your start date

Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel it before the next billing cycle. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.

3. No Refund Policy

All sales are final. Due to the digital nature of our services and the immediate access provided upon purchase, we do not offer refunds for:

  • Subscription fees (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual)
  • SportFish Token purchases
  • For Sale By Owner (FSBO) listing fees
  • Auction listing fees
  • Photography service packages
  • Group or brokerage subscriptions
  • Any add-on services or features

By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and agree to this no-refund policy.

4. Exceptions to No-Refund Policy

Refunds may only be issued under the following exceptional circumstances:

  • Duplicate Charges: If you were charged multiple times for the same transaction due to a processing error
  • Service Unavailability: If our platform experiences extended downtime (more than 48 consecutive hours) that prevents you from accessing paid features
  • Billing Errors: If you were charged an incorrect amount due to a system error on our part
  • Legal Requirements: As required by applicable law or court order
  • Administrative Approval: At the sole discretion of SportFishTrader administration for extraordinary circumstances

All refund requests under these exceptions must be submitted in writing to contact@sportfishtrader.com within 30 days of the charge. Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and require administrative approval.

5. Chargebacks and Disputes

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company without first contacting us to resolve the issue, we reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate your account. Chargebacks may result in:

  • Immediate account suspension
  • Removal of all active listings
  • Forfeiture of any remaining subscription time or tokens
  • Prohibition from creating future accounts
  • Collection of any outstanding fees plus chargeback processing costs

If you believe there is a billing error, please contact our support team first. We are committed to resolving any legitimate concerns promptly and fairly.

6. Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation:

  • You will retain access to all paid features until the end of your current billing period
  • You will not be charged for subsequent billing cycles
  • No partial refunds will be issued for unused time in your current billing period
  • Your account will automatically convert to a free account with limited features
  • Any unused SportFish Tokens will remain in your account for future use

7. Account Termination by SportFishTrader

SportFishTrader reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our Terms of Service, including but not limited to:

  • Fraudulent activity or misrepresentation
  • Abusive behavior toward other users or staff
  • Posting illegal, harmful, or prohibited content
  • Attempting to manipulate the platform or circumvent payment systems
  • Violation of intellectual property rights

In cases of account termination for Terms of Service violations, no refunds will be issued for any subscription fees, tokens, or services purchased.

8. Token and Credit Policy

SportFish Tokens are a digital currency used within our platform and have no cash value. Tokens:

  • Cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded
  • Do not expire and remain in your account indefinitely
  • Are non-transferable between accounts
  • Will remain available even after subscription cancellation
  • May be used for eligible services and features as defined by SportFishTrader

9. Price Changes

SportFishTrader reserves the right to modify subscription pricing, token costs, and service fees at any time. However:

  • Current subscribers will receive at least 30 days' notice of any price increases
  • Price changes will not affect your current billing cycle
  • New prices will apply only upon your next renewal after the notice period
  • You may cancel your subscription before the price change takes effect

10. Promotional Offers and Discounts

Promotional codes, discounts, and special offers:

  • Are subject to specific terms and conditions stated at the time of offer
  • Cannot be combined with other promotions unless explicitly stated
  • Are valid only for the initial purchase or billing cycle unless otherwise specified
  • May be revoked or modified at any time without notice
  • Do not apply retroactively to previous purchases

11. Failed Payments

If a recurring payment fails:

  • We will attempt to process the payment up to 3 times over a 10-day period
  • You will receive email notifications of failed payment attempts
  • Your account may be temporarily suspended if payment cannot be processed
  • Your listings may be deactivated during suspension periods
  • You are responsible for updating payment information to avoid service interruption

If payment cannot be collected after 3 attempts, your subscription will be cancelled and your account will revert to free status.

12. Tax and Legal Compliance

Prices displayed are in U.S. Dollars (USD). Applicable sales tax, VAT, or other government-imposed fees will be calculated and added at checkout based on your billing address. You are responsible for any additional taxes or duties imposed by your local jurisdiction.

SportFishTrader complies with all applicable payment processing regulations, including PCI DSS standards and relevant consumer protection laws.

By using SportFishTrader's services and completing any purchase, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Refund & Payment Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, you should not use our services or make any purchases.
